See the important agreement with ChinaNepal and China have reached three separate bilateral agreements to further strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries. The meeting was attended by Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang and Deputy Prime Minister and Local Development Minister. Separately, Nepal and China have reached the Framework Agreement on Promotion of Investment and Economic Cooperation. This umbrella agreement seeks to bring investments from the Chinese private sector in different areas of infrastructure development including in the construction of roads, tunnels and electricity transmission lines.

Nepal and China have also transchanged oil and gas resources on oil and gas resources exploration, as per the visit to Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli to China in 2016. China will aim for 2.25 billion rupees.

Officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the two countries agreed to hold a regular mechanism of bilateral mechanisms including Joint Economic and Trade Committee. Minister of State Gachchhadar also praised Nepal's socio-economic development for appreciation. He expressed happiness that the bilateral cooperation between the two countries has been expanding in recent times to cover various important aspects.
