The government officials in Sunsari and Saptari districts on Monday confirmed that Koshi Barrage and spurs.The authorities of the two districts conducted field inspections to the flood-hit site, that the Koshi river in eastern Nepal is bursting of a ri!sk. .
The teams reached a conclusion that there was no longer the risk of dam and spurs explosion in the river. The river will no longer cause life to Sunsari and Saptari if current water flow remains.
Sunsari Chief District Officer Gopal Prasad Parajuli, Superintendent of Police Bidyananda Majhi, District Treasury Controller Office, Sunsari's chief Badri Ghimire and office bearers of all government bodies, Saptari's Chief District Officer Krishna Bahadur Katuwal and Superintendent of Police Muk Mukkil had inspected Koshi dam and Spurs, according to CDO Parajuli.
As the Sunsari CDO said, the Indian side has 300 workers, along with 150 generators for further security for the river, and the risk of dam burst less possible.
