Twenty-thousand families in Saptari do not have drinking water sources after murky floodwaters their villages swamped. Hand pumps and wells are under water since Friday. Sanjanadevi Mukhiya, a flood survival in Kusaha village, said people are falling sick after drinking polluted water. Many villagers said they were struggling for the basic needs of food, water and shelter.
